Project “Shem Vener” Illuminate and Remember

"Project 'Shem Vener' brought together over 20,000 students in a poignant ceremony of remembrance, as soul candles bearing the faces and names of the departed were lit to honor Holocaust martyrs and heroes of the Iron Swords War."

In a stirring display of unity and remembrance, over 20,000 students came together to kindle a flame of tribute. As the days of remembrance and national significance approached, our collaboration with the ‘Ner Vashem’ project materialized into a poignant commemoration that nurtured the enduring legacy of those we hold dear. Through the acquisition and distribution of tens of thousands of soul candles, each adorned with the visages and names of the departed, we sought to immortalize their memory in the hearts of every student.

Across the breadth of yeshivas and centers of learning nationwide, a solemn ritual unfolded as students paid homage to the martyrs of the Holocaust and the gallant heroes and heroines of the Iron Swords War by igniting these soul candles. This act of reverence not only illuminated the past but also served as a beacon of hope, uniting hearts in a shared commitment to uphold the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
